Last week, Divine Buo, our West Africa Lending Manager, alongside Lending Representative Kwami Dekonor, attended a two-day national fair trade conference held in CAISTAB plateau in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from March 22nd to 23rd, 2024.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, who also inaugurated the conference. Shared Interest actively participated, securing a booth to showcase our financial products to stakeholders and partners.
We utilised the opportunity to network with both new prospects and existing customers and partners. Our participation was recognised with a certificate of commendation signed by the President of RICE (RĂ©seau ivoirien du commerce Ă©quitable).
Meanwhile, in Entebbe, Uganda, our East Africa Lending Manager Immaculate Ochieno was in attendance at Aceli Africa from the 19th to the 20th March. Aceli unlocks the growth and impact of agricultural SMEs by bridging the gap between capital, supply and demand to build the finance market for an inclusive agriculture sector in Africa.
At the event, Immaculate had the opportunity to engage in discussions around SMEs, climate change and climate finance as well as the challenges surrounding agri-lending and the incentives of the Aceli programme.
