Shared Interest receives third Queen's Award
Shared Interest has been recognised for its track record in sustainable development by receiving a Queen’s Award for Enterprise at an official ceremony attended by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Tyne & Wear, Mrs Susan Winfield CVO, OBE on Thursday 10 March.
NatWest Award Recognition
Double Award Success in the NatWest WISE Awards. Shared Interest Managing Director Patricia Alexander has been named as one of the top 100 Women in Social Enterprise (WISE) in the UK, and has gone on to become an Award finalist in one of four categories.

Saturday 8th May is World Fair Trade Day, and the World Fair Trade Organization is promoting the message to ‘build back fairer’, following the disruption caused by Covid-19. For Newcastle organisation, Shared Interest, it also provides a valuable opportunity to reflect on the vital role farmers and workers play in providing the food we eat.
Ghana's Costly Wait for Trade Deal
As the UK finally approved its trade agreement with the European Union (EU) on 30th December, it transpired that trade deals between the UK and some countries had not been finalised in time for Britain exiting the EU the following day. Ghana is one of the countries still hoping to finalise a free trade agreement, and is operating under interim terms as negotiations take place.

Bukonzo Organic Farmers Co-operative Union (BOCU) is the first beneficiary of our Livelihood Security Fund. The Ugandan Fairtrade coffee co-operative has told us that this support will reach 1,200 people.

As we enter our 30th year, it is with heartfelt sadness we share news that our founder Mark Hayes passed away on the 15th December after a long illness. I am sure you will join me in sending sincere condolences to his family.

CORREDORES REÚNEN FONDOS PARA LA FUNDACION SHARED INTEREST
El domingo de 11 de septiembre, cinco corredores se unieron a otros 57,000 en las calles de Newcastle para participar en la Gran carrera del Norte (Great North Run) de este año en apoyo a nuestra fundación Shared Interest Foundation.
2015 UN AÑO RECORD
En 2015 Shared Interest cumplió 25 años y celebramos la ocasión con una bandera conmemorativa que viajó por el mundo y una fantástica AGM (Conferencia Anual de Miembros) en las orillas del Tyne. Además, hemos superado nuestros objetivos de inversión y otorgamiento de préstamos.

Hemos lanzado nuestro nuevo portal llamado Our Shared Interest. El cual es más interactivo y donde podrá cambiar detalles como su dirección, realizar transacciones en línea, hacer nuevos depósitos, retirar sus inversiones y cerrar su cuenta.
